Jesus said in His first sermon the scripture ha been fulfilled. But then He went on for three years demonstrating how the scripture was being fulfilled. Even with His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, it fulfilled scripture. Jesus had a purpose and a mission. And Jesus rode into Jerusalem to demonstrate what the prophets in the Old Testament said about Him.
