Paul sends a warning to Timothy that there are some who have an appearance of Godliness, but deny its power. There is a forgery out there. A Godliness that is easy to live by, but is just an empty shell of the real thing. A religion, and not a relationship. These people are not part of the world. They are professing Christians that are in our churches. We must heed the warning ourselves to Avoid the Forgery!
